Is Content Marketing Dead?

Considering that it is harder and harder to organically rank in search engines, is content marketing dead, or do we simply have to adapt to a new way of doing things?

Not Dead, Just Different

I don't think it is dead. Content is more popular than ever. I just think it is harder to get noticed.

Creating a Following

I don't think it is dead. Otherwise I wouldn't been working so hard on this website. :)

Today, content marketing has to be part of a bigger strategy to create a following, or an audience. And the best way to do that is to provide value to people. One way to do that is providing valuable content.

So content marketing is actually a powerful strategy, if done correctly.

Content marketing became hard

Content marketing became hard because so many people are doing it. That is all. If you have a really good, outstanding idea and content then you can still succeed not matter the competition. You just have to be more creative then the rest.

Create a Loyal Following

The most effective content websites tend to build a community and a folowing. You cannot depend on search engine traffic anymore. Too much competition. But if you build a loyal following, these people will come back again and again, and share with their friends.

I agree, it is not dead my

I agree, it is not dead my any means, just with anything on the web nowadays it is more saturated and you have to put the work in to get noticed. You have to think about what is relevant today in getting your content noticed, for example what social media your demographic is using etc.
